New Look

I didn't like the green color in the standard HTML template provided by Blogger so I changed it. The red and cream colors are so much more my taste. What do you think of this look?

Perspective

I think I will not write in the third person. I like how I can express myself in the first person. Now that I have that off my chest...Today I went to Hastings to browse and obtain a gift for Kim's birthday. Happy Birthday Kim!!! After browsing the science fiction books I found The Years of Rice and Salt by Kim Stanley Robinson. The book is an alternative history discussing what would happen if everybody in Europe was killed by the Black Death. It makes Islam and Buddhism the most prominent religions in the world and should discuss their philosophies. It should be an interesting read. I also met Derrick Wallace at Hastings and we had supper together tonight. I first met him at an IEEE meeting when I was an electrical engineering student. We formed a good friendship in PEA which was supposed to help undergrads understand and apply the theoretical concepts taught in school. He invited me to a Chi Alpha meeting so I went with him. It was an interesting meeting with a bunch of testimonals disguised as proselytization and playing a handful of songs. It seemed like some people didn't know what they believed and others had a skewed viewpoint about Christanity. However I was there to interact and enjoy their company but not judge them. I am looking forward to Kim's bonfire and outdoor party Saturday. We will eat, drink and be merry celebrating Kim's birthday. There will be a lot of people I don't know because everyone seems to have moved away last year. It is time to make some new friends and try to garner interest in a D&D game again.
